“Circle of Care” is a fun drop-in program for nannies, family child care providers and caregivers. the program is sponsored by the North Child Care Resource and Referral program. All programs run from 9:30 am t0 11:30 am at the following three locations:

Tuesday @ John Braithwaite Community Centre, 145 West 1st Street, NV

Wednesday @ Hollyburn Elementary School, 1329 Duchess Avenue, WV

Friday @ Parkgate Community Centre, 3625 Banff Court, NV

StrongStart is a no cost parent/caregiver and pre-schooler drop-in program available in identified public schools. It operates five days per week for three hours a day, facilitated by a licensed early childhood educator. Please call the school for times and days of operation.

So-Sah-latch Family Centre

So-Sah Latch Family Centre provides health and community services to members of the Squamish First Nation, including counselling (individual, family, and couple), drug and alcohol counselling, and community health services such as speech-language pathology and prenatal classes. Also offers an Elder’s Program that provides transportation to medical appointments, and an Adult Home Care Program that provides home support case management. The Family Program offers daily living skills support, family/parent group, Mother Bear drop-in program, and infant development workers. The Brighter Futures program offers educational workshops and activities that enhance parenting skills to parents with children ages birth to five years.

John Braithwaite Community Centre (JBCC), in partnership with North Shore Neighbourhood House provides a wide range of programs to support families, children and youth in the Lower Londsdale area. The Family Resource Centre includes a Parent Child Mother Goose program, several drop-in programs for children 0-6 years of age, breast feeding support, a parent education series, young parent baby drop-in, post partum support, story time with the city librarian, a Fathers program and a program for Grandparents.

Family Services of the North Shore is a not-for-profit agency providing counselling and parent/caregiver education and support programs across the North Shore.

Family Services of the North Shore also provides parent and child drop-in programs at the I hope family centre on West 1^st Street and at Maplewood Farm. Family Support Counsellors and Parent Educators are in attendance at some StrongStart drop-in programs. Call the main agency number for further information.

Drop in playgroup session in the Lynnmour area near Capilano University. Meet with other parents, share circle time or take a break while your child plays with others. Community Health Nurses, Infant Development Program consultants and Parent Community Developers regularly attend – come with all your questions. Everyone is welcome!
